Realized Cap (BTC_CAP)

Realized Cap provides a more realistic view of Bitcoin's market capitalization. Unlike the standard market capitalization, which multiplies the current price by the total number of coins, Realized Cap sums the value of each unit of issued currency (UTXO) at the price it was last transferred at.

Here are the key points:
Realized Cap* discounts coins that may have been lost or forgotten by skipping those that haven't moved for a long time.
It functions as an on-chain equivalent of a weighted average stock price, adjusted for the amount of cryptocurrency in circulation.
It is considered a more precise indicator of active engagement and the value attributed by blockchain users.

Delays in on-chain data metrics in exceptional circumstances can reach up to 40 minutes. Due to the structure of the Bitcoin blockchain, delays in these metrics typically range around 20 minutes.
